The north (around Dénia, Jávea, and Moraira) is hillier, more established, and generally more expensive. The south (Torrevieja down to Pilar de la Horadada) is flatter, has longer sandy beaches, a stronger supply of new build property, and tends to offer better value for money. Both have their charm — it really comes down to what kind of lifestyle and budget you have in mind.
